2017 Exhibitions Announcement

Added on December 14, 2016 by CUE Accounts.

CUE is pleased to announce the 2017 exhibition season, featuring solo exhibitions curated by established artists, alongside a series of solo and group exhibitions selected by our annual Open Call.

In line with CUE’s commitment to providing substantive professional development opportunities, curators and panelists also serve as mentors to the exhibiting artists, providing support throughout the process of developing the exhibition. CUE’s exhibition program aims to present new and exceptionally strong work by under-recognized and emerging artists based in the United States, and is committed to exhibiting work of all disciplines.

THE VISIBLE HAND
Curated by David Borgonjon

Curator Mentor: Herb Tam

Drawing on a business history term for management—the visible hand—as a corrective to the invisible forces of the market, this show posits art as a form of managerial practice. After all, artists already live, breathe and work as single-person institutions.

PARTICIPATING ARTISTS: Chloë Bass, BFAMFAPhD, Maureen Connor, Devin Kenny, and Jen Liu.
