FONOTECA: Bring Records, Take Art with Pablo Helguera + The Clemente
Date: Wednesday, October 21, 2026
Time: 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Join us in the gallery for FONOTECA with artist Pablo Helguera for an evening of music, drinks, record swapping, and collective archive-building in support of Fonoteca, a new public vinyl library devoted to Latin American and Latinx music. This program is commissioned by the Clemente Soto Velez Center as part of the HISTORIAS initiative.
Bring Latin music records you would like to donate or lend to Fonoteca. The records don’t need to be rare or pristine. They just need to be ready to be listened to.
Pablo will be trading art for vinyl, contributors will receive special limited-edition works and/or original drawings made for the occasion.
RSVP here.

About the Organizer
The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural & Educational Center is a Puerto Rican and Latinx cultural space rooted in the Lower East Side.
