Produced and presented by the Asian American Arts Alliance

What curatorial thinking goes on behind-the-scenes when visual arts practitioners plan exhibitions, special projects, and festivals? What aspects of personal identity come into play that frame a curator's point of view? What innovative approaches have they taken to expand the parameters of art-viewing through their projects, and how have they responded to today's social and political climate?

Join the Asian American Arts Alliance And AN/OTHER NY for an in-depth look at a range of curatorial models, presented by three of New York's established and rising curators. Each of the curators will present their projects in a case study format, walking us through their planning processes, rubrics for artist selection, and their projects' impact on communities. The presentations will be followed by a moderated discussion with the curators and a Q&A with the audience.

PANELISTS
Howie Chen/Chen & Lampert (Founder, Chen & Lampert)
