CUE Announces 2021 Exhibition Season

Added on July 10, 2020 by CUE Accounts.

CUE is pleased to announce the 2021 exhibition season, featuring exhibitions curated by established artists as well as those selected through our annual Open Calls for solo exhibitions and curatorial projects. CUE’s exhibition program presents new and exceptionally strong work by under-recognized and emerging artists based in the United States.

CUE's 2020 Open Call winners were unanimously selected by a panel comprised of artist Guadalupe Maravilla, curator Sohrab Mohebbi, artist Ronny Quevedo, and curator Legacy Russell. The nominating artist was Tiona Nekkia McClodden. The Open Call panelists and nominating artists will serve as curators and mentors, supporting each exhibiting artist throughout the process of producing their exhibition.

Two exhibitions originally planned for 2020—James Maurelle, nominated by artist Odili Donald Odita, and Open Call selection Even there, there are stars, curated by Allie/A.L. Rickard and mentored by curator Daniel J Sander—have been rescheduled for 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Solo exhibitions by Terri Friedman, Myeongsoo Kim, and Yara El-Sherbini have been rescheduled with new dates in 2020.
