CUE announces two Open Calls for artists & curators

CUE’s Open Calls provide one deserving curator and a selection of emerging artists the necessary resources to realize an innovative project/exhibition at CUE's storefront location.

A panel of established curators will select the winners of both Open Calls and serve as mentors to the finalists throughout the exhibition planning process. CUE provides institutional guidance, a stipend, shipping budget, and an accompanying exhibition catalogue featuring an essay written by a participant in CUE’s Young Art Critic Mentoring Program.

Applications for the Curatorial Open Call and Solo Exhibition Open Call are accepted once annually in the spring. Applications are currently closed. Please click the links below for more information.

CUE is pleased to announce the launch of a new artist selection process consisting of a nomination and open call hybrid, with three types of opportunities for artists. This includes a series of Nominated Solo Exhibitions, a Solo Exhibition Open Call, and a Curatorial Project Open Call. Through the exhibition program, CUE aims to present new and exceptionally strong work by under-recognized and emerging artists based in the United States, and is committed to exhibiting work of all media, genres, and styles from artists of all ages.
